There will be an abundance of firewood this winter as the woodchopper works on a large tree that has been felled at the roadside. Across the road, a group of children are building a family of snowmen. Another group of neighbouring kids are tobogganing on the hillside. The road is busy today as friends swoosh by in horse drawn sleighs.

Sugaring Off

It’s early spring and the Maple trees have been tapped and the sap collected. The sugarmakers are now busy boiling off the excess water to produce the sweet Maple syrup. The smell of the fire in the sugar-shack lingers in the valley. At the house in the distance a group of children are tobogganing.
